Common questions

How do I turn the sound off?
Open settings.json from the home screen and tap the "sound" line so it reads "off".

How do I change the difficulty or the kinds of question?
Open settings.json and tap a line to change it. Tap "theme" to switch between English and medical terminology.

How do I start over?
Open settings.json and choose reset();, then choose it again to confirm. This erases everything: your level, score and statistics for both themes, and your daily streak, medals and today's result.

Why did my level go back to 1?
Your run continues until you fail a level. Then it restarts from level 1. Your best level and high score are kept.

I left the Daily Burg and came back to a finished sheet. Why?
The daily clock is real time. Leaving the app, or closing it, does not pause it. If you come back inside the minute you carry on where you were; if the minute is up, the sprint is scored with the answers you had in.

Can I play the Daily Burg again?
Once for a score. After that, retry(); on your sheet runs the same questions again for practice; the practice result pops up over your real sheet and never replaces it.

The shared card is a still image, not an animation.
Cards are animated GIFs. Messages, Mail and most chat apps play them; a few apps and some photo libraries keep only the first frame. Try sharing to Messages or saving to Files.

Do I need an internet connection or an account?
No. The game works offline and has no sign-in.

Is the medical theme medical advice?
No. It teaches the vocabulary only.
